Nasa has created a great guide of educational activities. Many of these activities may be done prior or after the eclipse. There are a lot of ideas included. We are sharing this guide for the safety information in the back of the packet and the specific solar eclipse activity ideas (activities 12 ,13 and 14).
"Build" an Eclipse
Materials Needed:
flashlight
large ball (baseball size or smaller)
small ball (super-ball size)
Play dough or two potatoes
2 Wooden skewers, or 2 straws or 2 popsicle sticks
tape

1. Cut out a black circle t
2. Tape the to the center of the paper
3. Trace around the circle template with a thin line of chalk.
4. Color heavily with chalk on the edges of the circle template.
5. Use your finger to spread the chalk away from the circle.
6. Remove the circle
